Enerpac wins Calvados Offshore Wind Farm Deal

Enerpac won a contract by Saipem to supply the Hydraulic Levelling and Fixation System for the installation of 64 transition pieces (TP) at the offshore wind farm in France. The Enerpac system is designed to allow accurate levelling and fixation of the transition pieces on the monopile foundation, enabling maximum turbine power generation.Grouted connections are widely used in offshore wind turbine construction to transfer multiple loads from the transition piece fitted on top of the monopile foundation.

Parkwind, Bladt Sign Substation Deal for German Offshore Wind Farm

Belgium-based offshore wind farm developer Parkwind and Danish offshore construction company Bladt have signed a deal to build a substation for the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind project in the German Baltic SeaThe platform will be jointly developed and will be jointly operated with 50Hertz, the responsible Transmission System Operator (TSO) for connecting the offshore wind farms in the German Baltic Sea. The offshore wind farm, 19 km off the island of Rugen is expected to start offshore installation works in 2022.

RWE Sanctions 342 MW Offshore Wind Farm Project

FairWind Completes 59 Transition Pieces for Borssele 1+2 OWF

Wind industry solutions provider FairWind has completed its largest electrical and high voltage project in company history, completing 59 transition pieces (TP’s) for client Bladt.The TP segments were assembled in Aalborg harbor in Denmark, to be installed at Borssele 1+2 offshore wind farm. Transition Pieces are used to connect the monopile and the tower of an offshore wind turbine.The 752MW wind farm is being constructed in the southern part of the Dutch sea towards the Belgian border.

Semco Enters Agreement on Nordsee One Substation

Semco Maritime enters into a five-year agreement for service and maintenance of substation for the Nordsee One wind farm, opens new office in Norddeich, Germany. Manufacturer of offshore substations for the wind industry, Semco Maritime, has entered into a five-year contract for full service and maintenance of the substation, which controls the power from wind turbines in Nordsee One. Wind farm Nordsee One, which is installed in the German part of the North Sea, is owned by RWE and Canadian investor Northland Power Inc.

Sensors Installed on New Offshore Wind Turbine Foundation

Strainstall has been subcontracted by the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) to install sensors, as part of its Structural and Environmental Monitoring (SEM) solution, on to a new Suction Bucket Jacket foundation, which is currently being trialed at the Borkum Riffgrund 1 Offshore Wind Farm in Germany.
