Simmons Edeco Sells European Well Integrity Division

Simmons Edeco, supplier of onshore drilling and workovers, wellhead maintenance services and asset integrity solutions, said it has sold its Simmons Edeco Europe well integrity service division to Well-Centric Oilfield Services, a member of the FrontRow Energy Technology Group.According to the Calgary-based oilfield service company, the decision to sell the division is timely. “The sale coincides with strategic plans to focus our people and capital on our core business of onshore drilling and workover services for global energy customers,” said Niels Versfeld, CEO of Simmons Edeco.

Simmons Edeco Promotes Hunt to Operations Manager

SIMMONS EDECO, a  supplier of wellhead and valve maintenance, asset integrity solutions and onshore drilling services to the global oil and gas industry, announced that Mark Hunt has been promoted to the newly created position of Operations Manager for its European base of operations in Great Yarmouth, England. In his new role, Hunt is responsible for overseeing the strategic development of operations initiatives. In view of the company’s recent reorganization that involves plans to expand globally, Hunt is reviewing existing processes with a view to standardizing and strengthening operations.

Fugro's Asset Integrity Program Monitors North Sea Platform

Fugro is marking a 35-year history of providing an asset integrity programme on one of the Ninian oil field platforms in the North Sea. Operator CNR International is working with Fugro to monitor the structural integrity of the Ninian Southern Platform (NSP) using a permanent online monitoring (OLM) system. Following completion of initial structural integrity measurements in 1979, Fugro installed the OLM system on the platform in 1985 and since then it has carried out multiple upgrades. The current system is contracted through to 2020.
