Delmar Systems Acquires InterOcean Systems

Supplier of offshore mooring and subsea services Delmar Systems, Inc. announced it has expanded its products and services with the acquisition of privately owned InterOcean Systems, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of oceanographic and environmental equipment and systems, including its proprietary Rig Anchor Release (RAR), acoustic technology and releases, METOC buoys, current meters, transponders, transducers, hydrophones, subsea winches, and other specialized equipment including its proprietary remote oil spill detection system – Slick Sleuth.

Subsea Network Helps Total Save Time at Egina

French oil major Total, operator for the Egina oil field offshore Nigeria, together with its construction and survey partners, has installed a Fusion 6G subsea positioning network to support its development of the $15 billion project. Supplied by Sonardyne International Ltd, UK, the acoustic technology specified for Egina, which is still ongoing, included a field-wide array of Compatt 6 seabed transponders that were deployed and made ready for work eight days ahead schedule.

Nautronix to Supply DPR System for Dolphin Drilling Rig

Nautronix has secured an order from HHI, Korea to supply a NASNet Dynamic Positioning Reference (DPR ) System which will be used on the Bollsta Dolphin drilling rig. NASNet DPR is a position reference system for Dynamic Positioning that also features the benefits of the NASNet subsea acoustic positioning system and can be used either within pre-installed field-wide NASNet arrays, or as a localized positioning system.
