Motive Offshore Appoints Brebner as Finance Director

Motive Offshore Group, which is headquartered in Boyndie, Aberdeenshire, has seen a record turnover for 2018 and is set to exceed its projected 20% increase on the previous year.To support founding directors James Gregg and Dave Acton with their ongoing growth strategy for the business, John Brebner has joined the management team as finance director as Motive plans to start on the acquisition trail in 2019.Brebner, who has been a non-executive director on Motive’s board since February last year, is a finance specialist with 34 years banking experience and is a seasoned advisor to SME and corporate businesses.

NorSea Group (UK) Ltd and Scotoil Services Ltd, two of the leading service companies in the onshore decommissioning sector, have joined forces as NSDecom. The new collaborative venture will  bring more efficient and cost effective benefits to the sector by providing a single project focal point for all services related to quayside and onshore decommissioning activity. Targeted at operators, project managers and lead contractors the new partnership combines the logistics expertise of NorSea Group with Scotoil’s track record of experience in waste management and NORM decontamination.

InterMoor Opens New Aberdeen Facility

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has opened a major new storage, maintenance and inspection facility in Aberdeen, U.K. The new base – on a three-acre site with a warehouse, 20 permanent onsite staff and a multi-million poundmooring inventor – will support InterMoor’s global mooring operations with a focus on Europe, Africa and Asia. The new facility will enable storage and maintenance of InterMoor and client equipment and is designed for onsite inspection and testing of wire and anchors. Situated on Miller Street within the Aberdeen harbor zone, the new base offers modern equipment storage close to all of Aberdeen’s vessel berths.
