EnBW Buys Albatros Offshore Wind Project

Posted by December 19, 2014

German utility EnBW has bought Albatros, an offshore wind power project owned by Strabag and Norderland-Gruppe, for an undisclosed sum, the company said on Friday.

The project is licensed to install 79 wind turbines with a capacity of 5-7 megawatt each in the North Sea, EnBW said, adding the acquisition would boost its offshore portfolio by about 400 MW.

The purchase brings EnBW's total offshore portfolio to more than 1,600 MW, it said.
