UK based Delta Controls announced Monday it has signed an agreement to purchase the Mobrey line of measurement products manufactured in Slough, UK from U.S.-headquartered global technology and engineering company Emerson.

Mobrey is a supplier of level products for the power, oil and gas and water industries with a range of ultrasonic, float, magnetic and other technologies. The Mobrey portfolio of point and continuous level products provide reliable measurement monitoring and control of liquids and dry products.

Delta said the transaction will take place in a two-step process to ensure a smooth transfer. First, Emerson has designated Delta Controls as the exclusive global distributor for the Mobrey product lines, commencing on April 1, 2019. Then, the official transfer of Mobrey (employees, inventory, intellectual property, product approvals, etc.) to Delta Controls will take place no later than September 30, 2019.

Manufacturing of Mobrey products will continue at the Emerson Slough premises, ensuring continuity of supply and quality standards.

Chris Webborn, Director for Nuclear Applications at Delta Controls, said, "We had been looking for some time for a partner for level products that would meet our high standards of reliability and value. In Mobrey we have this in a great complementary series of products backed by a superb name and reputation."

The new enlarged Delta business will offer customers a wider range of  instrumentation products from a single supplier and a long-term commitment to support these brands and technologies, the company said.
