Cosan: Port Fire Affected One Warehouse

Posted by August 4, 2014

Brazil's Cosan said on Monday that a fire at Brazil's Santos Port had affected a warehouse at Terminal 19 with 15,000 metric tons of sugar stored.

The facility, known as Warehouse 10, has 18,000 metric tons of capacity, and Cosan has a total of 500,000 metric tons capacity at the port, the company said in a statement.

A Reuters witness said a roof at the warehouse had collapsed.
