Brazil Court Freezes Petrobras's TermoBahia Sale

A Brazilian federal court on Monday temporarily halted the sale by Petroleo Brasileiro SA of its 50 percent stake in thermal power station operator TermoBahia to Total Brasil E & P, part of France's Total, following a lawsuit, according to a document seen by Reuters.

 

The sale was part of a $2.2 billion deal signed in December which included the sale of stakes in oilfields by Petrobras to the French firm.
