Posted by March 27, 2015

Austrian energy group OMV's supervisory board was expected to pick Rainer Seele, chief executive of BASF oil and gas subsidiary Wintershall, as its new CEO on Friday, Austrian newspapers reported on Friday.

Der Standard cited unnamed company sources for its report, while the Kurier cited no sources.

OMV, Wintershall and the Austrian finance ministry declined comment on who would succeed Gerhard Roiss at the top of OMV, in which the state owns 31.5 percent and Abu Dhabi's IPIC fund around 25 percent.
