Agreement on Cross-border Section of Power of Siberia being Finalized

At a meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Wang Dongjin, Vice President of CNPC the two sides looked at the status of the project for Russian gas supply to China via the eastern route.

 They gave particular attention to the preparation of an Agreement on engineering and constructing a cross-border section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline including its submerged crossing under the Amur River.

The document is almost ready to be signed by end 2015.

On May 21, 2014 Gazprom and CNPC signed the Sales and Purchase Agreement for the Russian gas supply via the eastern route (Power of Siberia gas pipeline). The 30-year contract provides for gas supplies in the amount of 38 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
